John Bantin 101 Posted February 22, 2013 We had seven Epic cameras and four FX cameras in the water with twelve nurse sharks and three Great Hammerheads that circled round us for four hours in 22 feet of water. This will be the next hotspot to dive. (With Stuart Cove in the Bahamas.)
MortenHansen 25 Posted February 22, 2013 Awesome! Never thought the Caribbean would be something for me (i like snails and other creepy crawly things), but I am starting to think that a trip might not be such a bad idea!
johnspierce 25 Posted February 22, 2013 Hi John, This is something Stuart Cove is doing on a regular basis? I checked out your other photos on Facebook -- looks like great fun! thanks, John
John Bantin 101 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Great Hammerheads are a nomadic and migratory species. January and February are the best months when the water is at its coldest. www.stuartcove.com (Just a small point. Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas is a wholly Bahamian operation so that all revenues go back into the Bahamas economy.) I've got a six-page feature on it in the April edition of Diver Magazine (UK). Get the app! Edited March 3, 2013 by John Bantin

Gary.Makai 5 Posted March 3, 2013 curious about the camera/lens combo you used for these great pictures. I am assuming they were taken with your d800.

One of the greatest things about owning an iPad (or other tablet) is easy access to diving publications from outside the U.S. I love Diver mag, thanks John! John Bantin 101 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) A very big animal gives one the chance to enjoy the steep perspective of the fish-eye lens POV. All will be revealed in the April issue of Diver Mag. Naturally, we need to keep the lid on it until then! Edited March 3, 2013 by John Bantin

rduquesnoy 0 Posted May 24, 2013 Wow, that just looks amazing! Hammerheads are still on my “must see” list. Unfortunately I heard the diving there isn’t all that great besides the shark action so I have not yet decided for myself whether it’s worth the trip (and money) or not, but I am almost convinced Just love those pictures!
