frogfone 0 Posted April 20, 2013 Not sure what this is, not even sure what type of creature it is. It didn't move, it seems completely stuck to the rock and I have never seen one before or since. Nick Hope 151 Posted April 20, 2013 Leach's compound ascidian, Botrylloides leachii. A type of tunicate/sea squirt. I have video of a colony from the Lembeh Strait. Quite a few web references have it down as just Botrylloides sp., but Teresa Zubi has it down as B. leachii, and her IDs are usually good. If anyone can confirm this ID, I'd like to hear too.
