pkdk 4 Posted May 30, 2013 In 2011 there was an unusual spectacular plankton bloom in San Diego, also called a Red Tide (as it looks red during the day) At night these algae give off a blue light, bioluminescence, when they are disturbed, creating this real world Avatar-like footsteps.
