Elysia in Komodo?

Recommended Posts

Hello, everyone. I'm looking for an ID for this slug, which looks like an Elysia or something similar. Found at Torpedo Alley in Horseshoe Bay, Komodo.

Wow that's a really interesting one Eric. Kinda looks like a cross between an Elysia and a Tritonia. And then there's the tail that

from this angle looks to be keeled. Have a good look at Scyllaeidae family species, there's some close similarities that I can spot.

I'm fairly sure that your find is a Scyllaea fulva- http://www.nudipixel.net/species/scyllaea_fulva/

Cheers,

Jim.

Certainly not an Elysia.
Looks very like Notobryon sp.2 in Gosliner et al's Indo-Pacific Nudibranchs and Sea Slugs.

I think I could go with a Scyllaea fulva, or at least a Scyllaea sp.! Thank you...
