DJI Phantom GoPro helicopter

Better to take DJI Phantom 2. It has better specs and much more powerful than previous model.

Have played with the Phantom some more, still fine for my use. If it goes down over water you have "minimized" your losses. Good news is they have come out with filters that will work with the older gimbals.

So far no one has given me any issues. But once someone crashes one into a school bus....

Couple of vids that incorporate Phantom shots over water. Drone was launched and returned to a small launch.

O wow, 10 years now, where has the time gone to.?

Thought I would have a look here.

Some nice clips guys.

The little Phantoms are prefect for nice steady shots alright and in GPS mode and are very simple to fly.

I kind of moved on from my Phantom and build my own now

Here is my latest design, yes I can fly it slow or hover it but it's just so much fun to fly like this.

Will get it out over the reef soon.

Phantom 3 release is imminent. I have found the Phantom more useful than my larger dslr-class copter simply because I can transport it easily, fly it longer, and with less fanfare. After replacing the GoPro lens with a rectilinear one, the footage doesn't even register as GoPro footage immediately:

I'm hoping the Phantom 3 will make take the GoPro out of the picture entirely and give us the Inspire 1 camera and gimbal in a phantom sized package.
