mattd 0 Posted April 27, 2004 Does anyone know if I can fit an after-market leak detector to my Aquatica Coolpix 5000 housing? If so, where would I get one from? Would it have to be installed through the second bulkhead, or is it contained fully within the housing?
woody 0 Posted April 27, 2004 Aquatica themselves have such a unit. It is fully contained within the housing.
mattd 0 Posted April 27, 2004 I actually emailed Aquatica a couple of weeks ago but got no reply. Maybe I used a dodgy email address - anyone got an up-to-date one?

marpacifica 0 Posted April 28, 2004 A week or so ago the wetpixel homepage did a feature on a "Leek Detector", invented by a guy named Leek. I think it was reasonably priced. The Aquatica one costs about $60 and I think the Leek detector costs half that. They both have a water sensor that is connected to an LED that you position in the LCD glass viewer. mattd 0 Posted April 29, 2004 Is the "Leek Detector" article archived so that I can view it somewhere?
james 0 Posted April 29, 2004 Of course! Click on "Reviews" and you should see the article there. While you're at it, check out the "Features" too - lots of good articles there. Cheers James
