Interceptor121 842 Posted December 29, 2014 Clearly the GH4 can produce excellent still images and not just videos! I love the clarity of the jetty photos and the mangroves You have done a great job to have split shots with the small 4.33" dome I would go and get a rectilinear lens in your kit bag as the fisheye distortion on some of the jetty images is really excessive. Maybe an Olympus 9-18mm if you don't want to break the bank with the Panasonic 7-14mm?
Bushy 6 Posted December 30, 2014 Great shots, loving the wide angle and the split shots. Heading to Raja Ampat in May seems to be plenty to take photos of. Is the 4.33" dome port the nauticam port ? I have the 8mm fisheye lens and tossing up whether to go for the Nauticam 4.33" or the Athena 100mm glass dome port. Any thoughts ?

mcliffy2 10 Posted January 6, 2015 The shot of the dottyback in the purple gorgonian is excellent. I wanted to snap a picture of them on my recent RA trip, but the would never face the camera or hold still. Well done!

I'd recommend a small dome, except for the split level shots: lighting the sea fans and corals is much easier with a small dome (I'm not sure that there's much difference between different small domes). I was using a big Nauticam dome with a full-frame DSLR and there were shots that I just couldn't get.
Interceptor121 842 Posted January 19, 2015 Question to The op. How much vignetting do you get with the 3.5" port? Does it go away in 3:2 aspect ratio?
JackConnick 76 Posted February 9, 2015 Was just there, so I really appreciate your vivid shots. Looks like you had quite a bit better water clarity too. Nice work. Jack
