**Wonderful** Photos winning 3 competitions

Recommended Posts

Over the years, we discovered quite some photos that were already winning entries in one competition but still got prizes from another competitions later that year.... We reported one case to the organiser, they admitted that the competitor really submitted a repeating winning photo. But unfortunately they have no way to avoid this from happening as judges would not be able to read through all possible winning entries in the world. After all, that "wonderful" photo was still a winning photo in that particular competition.

Well, I don't believe there's no way to avoid.... some actions like cancellation of prize, giving warning or black-listing the participants may have some sort of deterrent effect... at least a gesture showing that "we are not fool..."

Recently, we found 3 interestingly wonderful winning entries....

Lonelycat, I really do think that if you feel you need to point the finger or effectively name and shame someone you might do so openly rather than by an

annonomous post. This will indeed appear catty and will most likely find you out in the cold. It is quite possible that your accused submitted the image to

multiple comps at same time.

Cheers,

Jim.

wel Jim I agree totally with lonelycat. :goodpost:

If he has entered the pictures in multiple photocontests simultaniously he would have had enough time to withdrawl pictures for the other competitions.

I do understand that point. But to appear to accuse a photographer of fraud on a public forum without any proof? I completely disagree with the

approach of the OP.

I don't know Davide Lopresti and I don't follow the competition circuit, having only ever entered a handful over the years. I have no idea of the

submission opening and closing times of the competions in question. If the OP is solely pointing the finger at competition organisers not vetting

finalists as per their stated competition rules then there certainly is an issue with them and their application of rules agreed upon.

My issue with the OP is the annonomous mud slinging. If they are sure of something, they could provide proof and have the courage of his/her

convictions to do so in person. There is no clear proof other than inferrence that the entrant acted without conscience.

Cheers,

Jim.
