SubSee for D800 in Hugyfot housing?

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

Soon i will be back in Sardinia where my D800 housing is waiting patiently to get wet.

As i bought a SubSee +10 67mm tread macro wet lens for my LX100, i would like to know if somebody uses this combination and if so if he reccommend to get the holder.

Camera: Nikon D800
Lens: Nikon 105mm VRII
Housing: Hugyfot

Port: Hugyfot 100mm diameter flat port

There are some 67mm holders for the above mentioned port available, but i don't want to pay for it to discover that it's not working good.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi Chris,

i use a Subsee +10 with my D300 and the 70 - 180mm micro / macro zoom lens in a Hugy.
Works fine. But i use a very long port with different diameter....

Regards,
Wolfgang

Danke Wolfgang!
The diameter is not a issue as there are several holders available,

my main concern is soft corners, unable to focus or too much CA or strong vignetting.

There is a company Saga that make 67 mm flip mounts for different ports.

I got mine from Reef Photo

Hi Chris,
sorry dont have the 105mm.
With my lens there was slow focus, but its an old, slow lens ;-))
Couldnt see soft corners, vignetting or to much CA.
But the first two have for sure a close relationship with the lens.

Use the Subsee as well with my Oly OMD5e and the 60mm macro, fine as well.

Regards,
Wolfgang
