jothdu_47337 1 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I'm trying to identify this juvenile puffer? He was quite small (maybe 2-3cm, possibly smaller), as you can see by comparing him to the whip coral he's hanging out near. I believe I was around 50-60ft at the time of the photo, diving in the Nosy Be area. My best guess is that this is a juvenile Canthigaster valentini, AKA Valentinni's Sharpnose Puffer, but I'm far from confident. Hoping one of the experts here can help to confirm! troporobo 192 Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) By coincidence, I just happened to spot a very similar fish and whip coral as one of the winners in the Ocean Art competition. That photo from Lembeh is identified as a filefish: http://www.uwphotographyguide.com/oa14-3rd-macro Edited January 7, 2016 by troporobo
