mattmarinegreen 2 Posted March 29, 2016 Hi All, Please can you help? I am going to be bringing my underwater camera setup (worth maybe £4,000) with me on a trip travelling from UK, Russia, Asia (China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philipenes) to NZ. Does anyone know if I am likely to have any issues with import duty in any of these countries? I will have proof of onward travel in all countries. Any advice appreciated!! Many thanks, Matt
troporobo 226 Posted March 29, 2016 Other than Russia, which I know nothing about, there's no problem with the other countries. None.
TimG 62 Posted March 30, 2016 I agree with Troporobo. Like many on this forum, I've flown all over the place with dive gear and cameras, including for longer than holiday visits, and have never had a problem when the cameras are with me. I have had to pay duty when I had a lens and EXR shipped to me, in this case an Aus supplier shipped to me in Indonesia as I was passing through. Other than that, no problems
