WTB: Mirrorless Underwater Setup - Camera, Housing, Lens, Strobe, Tray, etc.

Recommended Posts

Almost identical to a recent post, I am looking for a mirrorless camera and underwater setup. I primarily want to use it for shooting stills and macro on coral reefs, occasional wide angle wreck shots, reef scenes too; I also want to use the camera above water.

The cameras I am most interested in are the:

Olympus om-d e-m1 + Nauticam housing (nau-17806) + 60 mm macro lens and 12-40 pro lens

(I am budget conscious though, so am open to using the Olympus housing instead)

Olympus om-d e-m5 Mark ii

I am also interested in the Sony alpha a7ii, A7s, etc, but I think they are out of my price range.

Does anyone have a used mirrorless camera with lenses, an UW housing, ports etc. that they are looking to sell?

Backscatter and Bluewater photo are offering a basic underwater setup with the E-M1 for $1699. Will need to build on this with strobes, lenses, etc, but figured I'd check with the WP community first before I pulled the trigger on one of these setups...

If not a full setup, I want to start piecing it together so I am interested in any mirrorless camera bodies, lenses, housings, etc.

Thanks for all of your help!

Will need additional batteries, or course, too. Also looking at the Olympus FL-600R Wireless Flash for topside shots.

Thank you for the reply UncaDon, and Snoopylaups. I am looking for a camera with IQ and IBIS on par with the Oly E-M1 or E-M5 II, or Sony's A6300, or better. UncaDon, if you'd be willing to sell the 9-18 lens, UL arms, or cables separately, please pm me. Snoopylaups, if you'd be willing to sell the lenses separately, I'm interested

reefmaister,

The 2 pieces to this kit that are not crucial for UW photography are: the 24-70 mm lens, the 30mm extension ring, the flip dioter holder. Excluding these items would lower the price by $1100. The bundle will then sell for $4400. Are you interested?

I'm looking for a pre-owned Nauticam Sony a6000 housing. Anyone trying to get rid of one?

I have found it is the only housing that allows you to turn off/on the built in flash on the camera body. Any have any other ideas about turning off the flash on this camera?

Panasonic GX1 in Nauticam housing with 9-18mm, 60mm, tray and ports. If you are interested, make a reasonable offer. (No IBIS, but underwater it's not particularly useful.)
