Mr_Mike 0 Posted August 8, 2002 When I either edit my post, or try to quote someone elses post, nothing is placed in the edit field. For quotes, I can get around this, but you can't edit a post you can't see. Something is busted in XMB land.
Tio Loco 0 Posted August 8, 2002 If a member doesn't have a location in their profile, it picks up the location of the previous poster....

Tio Loco 0 Posted August 8, 2002 And Eric, as long as you're fixing stuff, the email notification doesn't work either. Boy what an ungrateful bunch, huh? Richard
Mr_Mike 0 Posted August 9, 2002 What do you mean it doesn't work? It works too good. How do you turn it off? I munged my address so I don't get notification. I can't find the switch in the user profile to turn it off. Maybe I'm blind.
Tio Loco 0 Posted August 9, 2002 So, you've been getting my notifications! I wondered where they were going! There is a checkbox when you post, but it doesn't work for me....
Mr_Mike 0 Posted August 9, 2002 [qoute]There is a checkbox when you post, but it doesn't work for me.... If your e-mail in your profile is wrong, then it won't work. I'll send you a message to your e-mail account to see if its correct.
alien-bob 0 Posted August 10, 2002 Getting worn out from all this globetrotting - how do I edit my profile to provide the missing information? I can view it but can't find a way to change anything in it. Thanks.
Tio Loco 0 Posted August 10, 2002 At the top right of the page click on 'User Control Panel', then 'Edit Profile', make your changes, then click the 'Edit Profile' button at the bottom of the page. FWIW there does seem to be something whacy with the notification thing. I changed my profile to use my secondary email address, and started getting notifications. When I switched it back to my primary email, no notifications. I'm sure it was entered correctly. I'm now trying a third address to see what happens.... the saga continues. Mr_Mike 0 Posted August 11, 2002 Hey, it appears we are still alone. At least we are giving each other feedback.
