Underwater Videography Book Recommendations

Recommended Posts

This was posted 5 years ago, without any great recommendations at that time. Anything new out there? So many resources for underwater photography, so few for video.

I found this: http://www.jeffgoodman.co.uk/Book.html– published 5 years ago. Curious if there are others I've missed.

Unfortunately not a lot available.

There is one out by Jill Heinerth but i wouldn't really recommended it.

I dont think there is much out there. Its trial-and-error learning-by-doing. And the real pro's will not give away their secrets anyway :)

I'm happy to organize workshops or one-on-one training in Indonesia. A lot depends on what your goals are -- are you looking to make nice films of your holidays to share with friends and family? Looking to do professional work?

As for pros giving away their secrets -- I think the truth of the matter is there's relatively few secrets, and not a whole lot of people doing underwater video professionally. The ones who do tend to get work primarily based on their contacts and past history of producing results, not any particular secret technique they have :)

Thanks Drei me and my wife are thinking of going to Indonesia either this May or August. Perhaps leaning towards August so we can chance on the Molax2's in Nusa Penida as well. We're just doing it as a hobby and would not want to turn it into work =) This would work well for us as she does photo and I do video. Our blog is here briananddonna.com we're based in Cebu, Philippines so if you plan to be in our neck of the woods let us know. Please pm me your rates for the workshops.

Isn't that the same book as the topic starter mentioned?
