rhiannon 0 Posted April 12, 2018 Hi there - no setup for me yet, as Im trying to establish what I want. Is there a really big difference in weight and bulk using a mirrorless set up, such as Sony a6500 and a full frame DSLR? I understand housing differences, but in GENERAL, is it a big difference to manage? Thanks

Undertow 31 Posted April 12, 2018 Yes, huge difference, depending on setup. I generally tell people today if you don't know you want an SLR, go mirrorless.
Angiolo 0 Posted May 6, 2018 Difference out of the water is substantial with regards to body weight, but good quality lenses usually have similar weight, thus decreasing the weight differential for a full set up. As pointed out in other posts, difference below water is significant.
