mechonx 0 Posted April 24, 2018 Hi there, this one is from this weekend, I liked this picture because when I took it I imagined a hummingbird in a field of flowers
SwiftFF5 134 Posted April 24, 2018 (edited) I like it - even though the background is a bit busy, it works for me. These little guys always seem so cheerful to me for some reason. Edited April 24, 2018 by SwiftFF5
tursiops 81 Posted April 24, 2018 (edited) i cropped it slightly, to move the little guy's eye away from the center of the photo. Edited April 24, 2018 by tursiops
mcgowman 1 Posted May 18, 2018 I agree with tursiops, a little cropping is due. Too much 'dead' space on the left side of the original. Wishing the puffer was in a bit more of a profile to capture the pattern around the mouth. The colors are beautiful though. Nice shot. Those guys rarely stay put for long. Fruitographer 3 Posted May 24, 2018 I think Tursiops had the crop spot on. the only other thing would be to darken the blurred background to make your primary subject stand out or in this case leave the background lighter and darken the foreground to make the puffer stand out more. the image is very busy and I had to look to much to find the primary subject when it should be more obvious.
