Best places to dive with Whale Sharks?

hello all,

I've always wanted to dive and photograph whale sharks. Can any one give me some recommendations on where to go and best time to go?

These are the places where I found them: Tanzania mafia island from february to April and Philippines in july and August

Cenderwashi Bay, Papua, Indonesia.

It's a 'one trick pony' dive, but one of the best.

Try "SeaHorse" live aboard.

Check out Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia. Not the easiest places to get to but the operators out there "guarantee" whale shark encounters - this, I think means if you don't see them on Day 1, they'll give you a free ride out on Day 2. Its snorkelling not scuba.

 

I visited some years ago and certainly saw them. An awesome experience - if exhausting snorkelling like crazy pushing a camera with domeport through the water.

Isla Mujeres Mexico from June To September is famous for congregations. Snorkelling only as well.

I had some great encounters at Darwin’s Arch in the Galapagos.
