Ambon Transit Hotels for October

Any suggestions for some place to over night near the airport? Hotels in the city can really be a long drive mid-day. Maluku Divers is closed.

There's a few places you could stay that are within 5-10 minutes drive of the airport, but to be perfectly honest, they are very basic local hotels. So a lot depends on what your expectations are.

 

If I recall correctly, there's one place with little log cabins that had AC and hot water just down the road from the airport towards Ambon. I don't remember the name, but it was about $25-30/night. They food at their little restaurant was pretty good too.

As far as I know there is no modern hotels on the Laha side (the airport side) but you could stay at crecia guesthouse which I think has ac and pretty good rooms for about 300k IDR a night.

since they put in the bridge its not as bad as it used to be. Maybe 35 mins from the airport to Swiss Bel
