shorty 1 Posted March 18, 2019 has anyone had a problem with the gopro 7 over heating in the hero housing the camera shuts down and the controls will not work you have to take the camera out of the housing and take the battery out to reset not a good idea when you are underwater
A.Y. 15 Posted March 29, 2019 (edited) I shot a lot of 4K 60p videos with Protune on underwater - the most demanding settings on a 7 Black - and the camera never overheated. I only turned the camera on when I was ready to shoot BTW. Edited March 30, 2019 by A.Y.

underwaterguy 1 Posted April 17, 2019 I just bought a Hero 7 Black but have not used it in the water as of yet. If you get a clear answer as to why the overheating happened, please post the news. I'd like to know all I can about potential issues with the "7". Thanks ~
