Divingmama 0 Posted July 20, 2019 Does anyone have any idea what type of paste to secure wires in a housing with? The clip in my Nauticam housing seemed to be secured by a paste, and it has come loose. Any ideas out there? Help! Diving mama
ChrisRoss 150 Posted July 20, 2019 You're talking about the wires for the leak sensor correct? All that is doing is keeping them from getting in the way of putting your camera in. If it is a clip that is glued on I would try some double sided tape to stick it down, You could use silicone but it's really hard to be neat with that in the confined space inside your housing. TimG 62 Posted July 20, 2019 Like Chris, I used double-sided tape to secure the electronics of a leak detector and it’s cabling inside a housing. Easy to apply, neat and tidy, seems resilient and easy to remove.
pbalves 54 Posted July 20, 2019 You can use glue pads https://www.staples.co.uk/blue-tack-white-tack/cbs/224464472.html?promoCode=&Effort_Code=WW&Find_Number=224464472&m=0&isSubscription=False
KeithG 27 Posted July 20, 2019 Hot melt glue works.
echo2600 10 Posted July 21, 2019 (edited) When mine came loose, I used a dab of Gorilla Glue... It seems to be a thick consistency, water proof contact cement. BTW, Reef Photo recommended epoxy. HTH Edited July 21, 2019 by echo2600
tursiops 82 Posted July 21, 2019 I used a drop of superglue.
Divingmama 0 Posted July 21, 2019 Thanks so much everyone! Nice ideas. Think I'll use the tape and see how it goes. Was worried it would be hard to remove the clip if Gorilla glued and electronics needed replacing....hopefully not! All the best, Divingmama
