Simon K. 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Hi, last year I allerady have seen, that the O-Ring in my Ikelite TTL Controller/Sensor (between the main housing and the transparent part) looked brittle (I hope this is the right english word to describe it) I didn't care about It because I don't use it at the moment. When I took it out of the cupboard this summer the o-ring was bursted. Now I have seen that the O-Ring of my Manual-Controller also looks brittle like the O-Ring of my TTL-Sensor last Year. The controller is half an year old. I haven't found any info about maintanace of this O-Rings in the Manual Does anyone has experience with this problem? kdietz 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Those particular o-rings are cosmetic only and don't contribute to watertightness....you can take them off Karl

Simon K. 0 Posted October 14, 2004 @Ike: So Kdietz was right with the oppinon, that these Orings are cometical only? Thanks Simon
SParkinson 0 Posted October 14, 2004 yup... purely cosmetic and have no other value...
frogfish 5 Posted October 15, 2004 And they're fashionable too! O-rings accessorize well with shiny black latex swimwear, Ikelite's daring "see-through" transparent carbonate housings, not to mention "kinky" synch cords. 8)
