lens ports for Light and Motion

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any experience or advice for the choice of lens ports for the D1000 using the light and motion housing? I'm specifically looking at the difference between sea and sea and the light and motion ports. I have a 60 mm macro, and a 12-24 mm Nikon. Any help would be appreciated.

I have used the Aquatica ports with this housing but not the ones you name. I was very happy with the Aquatica 8" dome performance and I was even able to use my 70-180 macro lens and Aquatica port. The Aquatica zoom gear for the lens meshed up with the LMI housing perfectly.

I use the L&M Titan with their 8" dome port. It is a realllllyyyy nice port. I use the 12-24 with that port and their 50mm (I think it's 50ishmm) extension ring. Have not used it with any other lens, as I have Subal ports for my macro lenses. I cannot speak for the other ports since I have never used them. The one thing that is nice about the L&M ports is the double o-ring seal, giving you that extra comfort level from leaking.

I use the Titan with both the LMI Glass Dome for the 12-24 (+2 diopeter is supplied with port and extension ring ) and the macro port for both 60mm 105mm ( of course withesxtension ring ) .

They are quality items. Fantastic finish and design work with the redundant o-ring system.

And don't they look so good............

I used the Sea and Sea Fisheye dome with the 10.5 with success.

Peter - will you be at DEMA? If so, let's hook up!
