Hi there,

My name is Pommm from Thailand. I just back to underwater world after trekking and went off-road for 10+ years.
Let say I'm beginner and this time I dive with cameras. Learning how to take good pictures. Hope to learn from you guys which I though have more experience than me.

Currently I have D7100 in Nuaticam housing as an active gear, Tokina 11-17 and 8.5" dome. Z7 that just came on board (will take sometime before getting Nuaticam gears for it)  INON D2000 strobe, 2nd hand, old but still doing great.

Thanks

Pommm

Hi team,

I am Stefanos from New Zealand. I am very much into scuba diving and underwater photography. Until recently I was shooting with a Canon G7X II in a Recsea housing. Sadly it got flooded, so I am looking to upgrade. Would like to get my Nikon D750 under water.

Cheers

Hi there. I am Denver from the US but have been living in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and been diving most of Asia and been loving it.

I would want to further my knowledge in underwater photography and would also want to take the step to the next level of my camera from an Olympus OMD EM 5 Mk II to a Nikon D500.

Also, if anyone is planning to dive Asia, I could help advice and answer questions you have.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Trevor Pottelberg.  I'm a professional landscape photographer from Ontario, Canada.  I purchased an underwater housing and some lights a year or so ago and have been slowly getting into underwater photography via snorkeling local lakes and reservoirs.  The end goal is to get my dive certificate but I have eustachian tube dysfunction in my left ear.  Until I can get that cleared up, I'm stuck with just snorkeling.

I'm really excited to be a part of this community and I hope to learn a lot from everyone!

Hi everyone,

My name is Hannah and I am a surf videographer and looking into learning more about underwater photography to enhance my all around shooting capabilities. My new SPL housing just arrived for my Sony a7iii and I can't wait to film and shoot this weekend with it. I used to use an Olympus D3200 waterproof camera for all of my work but thought it was time to upgrade and become more professional.

Hello All,

My name is Phil Elsasser.  I am a PADI instructor and photographer as well.  I live in Colorado, but try and get to the Ocean as much as possible to dive.

I started out shooting an Olympus TG4 and have since upgraded to the EM1 MK2 and have loved every minute of it!

Thanks,

Phil Elsasser

Hello,

I'm Manos from Greece diving for about 3 years now with ~200dives. About half of my dives have been with a camera (sony a5100 with the 16-50 kit lens, meikon housing, single S&S YS-02 strobe and usually an Inon UCL165-M67 +6 diopter.

Mostly interested in macro for now but not only.

Thanks,

Manos

Hi,  I am a diver living in East Tennessee near Knoxville Tennessee.     I am Naui certified in Advance Diver, Nitrox, and Open water.    I have been diving since 2010 and have drove all over the Caribbean.    I just hit the mark of 200 dives at the Coco View Resort in Roatan.   Have been reading the forum for a few months and it seems to have great information being shared by serious divers.

Hi,

I've been diving since 1995, mainly in lakes as I am from Austria (close to lake of constance) but I live in vienna Right now. My main diving spots are of course in europe and all over asia. I have always been fascinated by wrecks, which was also one of the reasons I started technical diving quite a few years ago. In my spare time I used to do a lot of analog photography (incl. all the darkroom work etc.) but I started underwater photography this year and that's why I ended up here, as it is a great place for knowledge exchange.

Cheers, Klaus

Use to run busiest Dive charter on West coast of fla.  Now I have a 35 ft contender I keep just for my wife (Heidi Thoricht) and I to dive off of.. Normally my wife handles most of my purchases for me but she just flew up to the East coast so I signed up to buy something quick... OF COURSE no luck... Said Zero messages. After 10 minutes of looking around I found this place to post...  Guess I have to do 3 post before I can buy something. My Wife and I have been to a lot of Wet Pixel stuff at DEMA.

Hi there folks,

I am John Doe II. I used to be John Doe here but lost my password (password manager crashed and took all my passwords with it). I have tried and tried and tried to contact the admins of this site to recover my account but to no avail. So bit the bullet and register new account and start all over. Shame really since John Doe had been active since 2003/4 .

Anyways not to worry.

Hi John Doe I/II,

How have you been trying to reach us? I have not had any messages or emails from you?

It is concerning if people are trying to contact us and the mails are not getting through...

Hi Mike,

I'm just replying to your email, but will reply here.
I'm glad you have joined and started to interact witH the Wetpixel community (after having enjoyed our events at DEMA!) Someone with your experience has much to offer the Wetpixel community and I look forward to seeing your posts.

As you probably found, the reasons for requiring at least 3 posts in order to post in the Classifieds forum are laid out here:

Adam

I have tried to use the contact admins and tried many many times to recover my password by having it sent to my email address. The email never ever arrived.

I just tried to replicate what I have been doing these last months trying to contact someone and also to have a new password emailed to me, but its now doing different things and an email was received this time - however I tried to recover John Doe's password by having it emailed to me and I received the email under the John Doe II account. SOmething strange going on. Not sure if you upgraded servers or forum software along the way or something similar. John Doe was registered back in 2003/4, so very old account. Maybe the accounts never moved over to a new server or software along the way? IDK. what I do know is things are working better now that I re-registered.

Before I re registered i was just going in aimless circles going nowhere, hence re-registering.

I can conform that the John Doe (1) password reset email have been sent to your "vsatguy" email address.

Which "Contact admins" link did you use? If there is a broken/not functioning link, I need to fix it :)

I can confirm that the John Doe account is still active and functioning. We have changed servers and software, but it has ported your account and settings..

I also had problems for a long time using the forgot password link. I kept getting a message that said email had been sent but nothing arrived. Then tried again one day a couple of weeks ago and it worked.

Hi Rich here.

Been doing uw photography since my ow course in 2004, with a Canon S400... then most of the good canons up to the S100...  Recently borrowing a G7X MKII to use with my Nauticam CMC... A combo that works beautifully!
Also done a bit of filming with my Gopro...  Mostly rubbish, lol.
