SharkGuy243 1 Posted January 30, 2020 I'm looking for some tips for float arms with an mdx-7100 setup. I'll be using the fisheye dome and two inon z-330's.
ChrisRoss 150 Posted January 30, 2020 I would recommend weighing your system in water hanging it from a luggage scale. The INON strobes are 48gr negative each underwater. http://www.inon.jp/products/armsystem/weight_table.html Add up the weight of the housing underwater, clamps and strobes - then purchase arms with buoyancy less than or equal to the total underwater weight. TimG 62 Posted January 31, 2020 Good advice from Chris. I’d suggest too adding Stix floats to non-float arms. I’ve found Stix effective, light weight and inexpensive. I’ve had mine for about 10 years on ULCS arms and they’ve been great.
