Dave Diver 0 Posted July 16, 2022 I know this is an old post but I came across it looking for the identity of the same creature which I photographed in the Sea of Cortez on a recent trip. I believe what you are looking at is a Plume Blenny (Cirriemblemaria lucasana). https://biogeodb.stri.si.edu/sftep/en/thefishes/species/1879 And while their pic shows it in orange with white fringe, this site https://www.discoverlife.org/mp/20q?search=Cirriemblemaria+lucasana&l=spanish has pics of it in both colors.
