rwe 3 Posted March 21, 2020 I went to Cozumel in December. Camera equipment in REI backpack which is how I usually travel with it. Got green light and no problems.
vlada 0 Posted March 22, 2020 Not in Cancun. I got the dreaded red light couple of weeks ago, so they saw my DSLR and strobes. No issues other than hassle of packing everything back. Thanks Vlada
tubestance 33 Posted March 24, 2020 A bit outside the question, but keeping a low profile (no flashy/expensive camera bags), separating any sort of duplicate gear (eg two camera bodies), and being very friendly (speaking some Spanish) helps if you do find yourself explaining your gear to an agent. Ministryofgiraffes 6 Posted July 4, 2020 I was in Cozumel 2 weeks ago. Flew into cancun. Full large pelican air case with all the nauticam rig keldan lights strobes partridge in a pear tree. opened it all, she asked of it was hobby or professional- said hobby, she asked how much it all cost, i cut 10k off and told her; she wished me a good trip and I went on my way.
