Recommended Posts

Brand new Retra LSD Ultimate for Retra Flash (Pro, Prime & Original) or Inon Z330/D200 (one mount supplied, unless you want to purchase the other for €50 - retails for €80). Bought two, so this was my spare, but not using the main one much so selling this on. Comes with Standard Mask Set (4 masks).

Full info at https://www.retra-uwt.com/…/…/products/light-shaping-device…. Retails for €299+VAT or local Import Duties. Discounted to €250 / USD295 and I can mark the package with a lower value that will hopefully avoid import fees. Will ship from Thailand at buyers expense that isn't too expensive via Thai Post EMS Airmail.

Hi Alex,
what would be the shipping rate to Austria?
Our country is including the shipping for custom fees ;-((
Thanks,

Hi Wolfgang

Shipping is €25 to Austria via Thai Post so total is €275. I don’t need to put a customs declaration on the package so it won’t have a stated value and may therefore get to you without any import duty? I have sent my expensive viewfinders back to Subal in Austria this way before and it got through without any issues or fees.

Please let me know if you want to go ahead and I can provide my TransferWise Euro bank details for payment so you don’t have to pay bank transfer fees (based on Germany). If you’d prefer PayPal we can go this way, to either my UK or Thai Account, but then I’ll need to add 4% to cover fees.

Also please let me know if you want the Retra Bayonet Mount or Inon Z330 Clamp Mount.

Regards, Alex

Hi Alex,

I got to this ad too late.  But I have a question I hope you can help me with.  Is the barrel of the snoot offset over the modeling light of the Z330 so it can be used for aiming/framing.  If so, is the modeling light still useful; and how do you like the unit in general?

Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,

The barrel of the snoot is offset so it can be it can be aligned with the focus light to assist aiming. Though with an offset focus light there is a small difference to where this shows and where the strobe light lands. You soon learn to adjust accordingly, but a strobe with a central focus light is the better option. For the price of the Retra LSD you can get a Backscatter Miniflash & Optical Snoot that is a little easier to use as focuses the beam closer and has central aiming light But the LSD is better if you are trying to shoot more shy subjects as can be attached to a more powerful strobe and it focuses the beam further away. I use both depending on what I'm shooting.
