We plan to review it once we can go somewhere that we can use it properly!

That looks very interesting! I have questions if anyone knows the answers:

What is the price on the D-Max?

What does "1st mode" and "2nd mode" mean?

How many frames per second constitutes "high speed continuous shooting"?

Can the user change the 18650 batteries in the battery pack?

How much does a replacement battery pack cost?

Does it support HSS?

Does it support TTL?

Also, their website says:

"All Scubalamp models and products have been rigorously tested and confirmed reliable up to 100 meters before can be released to market."

But, the D-Max page says it's only rated to 60m.

Any idea what the real depth rating is? 60m is not enough for my plans.

It IS announced on the Scubalamp USA Facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/scubalampusa/

Maybe it's not on their website yet because they don't actually have product in hand yet?

as far as I know it's brand new so the answers to those questions are mostly known only to the developer.  Though I think it's safe to say the battery pack won't be user servicable.

No, we do not yet, but the manufacturer has undertaken to lend us a pair of strobes when  we are in a position to test them.

Nitescuba has them for sale via Aliexpress for $1153/unit

Looks like a straight reincarnation of YS-250. Big, heavy, lots of power, circular bulb, but no advanced features like TTL or HSS, and the battery pack is proprietary.

Yeah. A YS-250 reincarnated. And more expensive than a Retra Pro. I don't think I'm likely to see many of these in the field...
