Hi All,

Howard from NY, currently living in Rockland County about 35 miles NW of NYC.  Born, raised and PADI-certified in the Bronx (Captain Mike's on City Island), about 200 dives under my belt, a few years ago started getting into UW photography - RX100IV, Fantasea housing, trying to keep it reasonable so maybe hanging out on these forums is a bad idea :-)

Hi everyone,

My name is Daniel Rees. I am a 24 year old medical student from Newfoundland, Canada.
I have been diving since I was 19, and shooting photos/film since I was 16. I acquired my underwater rig when I started medical school, but I don't have the time to use it anymore and so have joined the group so I can post it for sale online.

Cheers,
Dan

Hello, I am a reseacher who is investigating a potentially novel Sabella. I am hoping that some people might be able to give their input and perspective on some identification photos. My photos are all of stained tissue under a microscope. The organism we are investigating is very small, so my apologies if the stained microscope view is disorienting . Any thoughts on the identification of this organism are appreciated. Thank you!

Hi I'm Gabrial, A Television Director from London and new to the world of underwater photography. We will be filming an underwater photography session in California on Saturday 30th July.

I would like to ask if anyone has any advice on where I would be able to Hire/Borrow underwater Housing for a Sony Alpha A55 camera to be used in our shoot? This would have ีีีีufabet to be from the San Diego area if possible.

And secondly, we are looking for a great underwater Photographer to give our pupil a short lesson (on land) and then take them snorkelling to take some pictures. Does this sound like something any of you in the California area would be interested in?

Ocean Enterprises is a great San Diego dive shop. My contact is no longer there, but if you give them a call, I'm sure that they could set you up.

Hello all,

I'm a newish diver from Southern California USA. I'm an experienced photographer, I prefer landscape, nightscape, and long exposure imaging but I wanted to have a reason to blow a ton of money with the challange of underwater photography (joking well kind of). I also do part time wedding photography and videography with a local company.

I image on a Sony A7iii on the surface and a Sony RX100VA inside a Fantasea FRX100VA VAC housing when I am in the water.

I'm still in the process of building up my RX100 imaging rig while I gain dive experience. Any leads on good quality used parts would be awesome.

My wife wants to visit the Philipines next year. If so, I want to dive. Do you have any suggestions of where it's best? I especially enjoy photographing corals. Thanks.

For corals, I would suggest Dumaguete - it gives you access to Dauin coast, as well as Apo Island, Siquijor and Sumilon via day boats.

Hello fellow UW Photographers.

For me, spending time underwater is a gift most folks will never experience first hand.  Underwater photography is a way to share that experience with others and raise awareness of the beauty and diversity of life found in our oceans.

I enjoy the art and science of photography and hope to improve my skills with practice and learning from others.

Looking forward to participating in the wetpixel forums :)

Hi,

I'm John from the Sunshine Coast in Australia. I've been diving and snorkelling with housings for a couple of years with a Sony a7R2 in a Seafrogs housing and I've just bought a Seafrogs housing for my Sony a7R3 which I recently took to the Gili Islands but I'm just looking to take it to the next level by adding strobes/video lights etc. I'm hoping I'll be able to get some help on here.

Cheers.

Hi people,

I am an oceanographer and divemaster and I work full time with underwater photos and videos in Tenerife for over a year. I already used several car paint thickness gauge topics in here to help with equipment maintenance and tips, but just recently got to actually make an account for myself. Better later than never?

Cheers.
