vigfus 2 Posted December 6, 2020 Hi, I'm from Sweden, but quickly discovered that diving and the nordic climate wasn't for me. I worked in the industry for a short time some 20 years ago and it almost put me off diving until a friend introduced me to UW photography. In those innocent pre-pandemic times me and my friends did 1-2 trips a year to SE Asia and just marvelled at how much fun and excitement (and sometimes frustration as well :p) there was to be found bringing a camera into the sea. Now we're really looking forward to go back.

MCH Martin Chvoj 1 Posted December 7, 2020 Hi, I am MCH Martin Chvoj from small inland country of Czechia, an amateur but enthusiastic photographer. I have started with my underwater photography at beginning of 2018, when I bought Nauticam housing and strobes for my Canon 5D MIV. Since then I have been living Philippines and travel around that part of the world. I have been lucky to photo everything from small nudi branches and little shrimps through mantas and sharks all over to humpback and blue whales. Sine 2020 I am being also an ambassador for emerging non-profit project Cyan Planet, which gives me bit of spiritual fulfillment as an contributor to help the raise the awareness of problems in oceans. djmcmath 2 Posted December 10, 2020 Hello everyone. I've been a photographer my whole life. My parents had a darkroom in every house I lived in growing up. I built my first darkroom in the second apartment I rented, and ended up doing large format B&W. When I moved to Seattle, I got into diving and realized that I needed to take my photography underwater. I've been shooting with a slowly improving range of GoPro cameras, and really ought to step up my game. :)
pascastel 0 Posted December 11, 2020 Hi there, Pascastel, 34 yrs old french guy living in Australia. I have been diving a lot in Asia around 10-12 years ago, divemaster with 200+ dives in easy waters and few in more complicated settings. Now living in Australia, I feel like it is a good time to come back to it ! I have been a photographer on land for a long time, so why not merge the two interests, and start UW photo? I will be looking at finding a case for my Sony A6400, but I still need to understand how all that would work... Cheers !

I've been shooting on Sony compact for 3 years, but my background is land based photography in the form of photojournalism. Making the switch to a6xxx series Sony and ports and ttl triggers and all that kind of fun stuff. It feels like I'm learning everything all over again!
