Hello,

I'm back from a long absence! I'm from Denver, CO, USA and started learning on this site in 2003'ish when I initially started diving.  Stopped diving shortly thereafter due to life, which included having a daughter and narrowing my focus to mtn adrenaline sports.  She saw a grainy diving video of me in Bonaire from 2003 and I promised her we'd go diving when she was ready (she is now 13 yo and says she is ready).

Excited to return and thank you up front for teaching an old dog some new tricks soon.  I just bought a TG-6 due to some recommendations on this site for our trip to Bora Bora in 2 weeks!

Hi everyone.

I went snorkeling for the first time, a few times last year.  I borrowed someone's underwater camera (and used a disposable film camera the other times).  I am going again soon.  This time with my own underwater camera.

Hi

I've been diving for a few years and love the underwater world and trying to photograph it. A recent "event" has meant that I am starting from scratch with a Nikon D500 and a secondhand Subal housing, a big change from my previous camera, an Olympus mirrorless .....so I'll be asking a lot of questions that are Nikon related I'm sure ;)

Hi everyone,

My name is Craine, and l I'm in the Clearwater, FL area. I've been working on my photography above and below the water for the last 10 years or so. I shoot a Sony a6400 in a Seafrogs housing with Inon strobes, and I'm finally getting results I'm proud of.

Introductory post... Been scuba diving and taking underwater photos since 1968. Started with Nikonos I, then Nik III, then various Nikons in various housings inc. Ikelite, Aquatica and Subal... all the way to D800. Got fed up with the weight and size of that in a Nauticam housing and downsized to Sony A6500, then A6400 with its improved AF. Heavily invested in Nauticam, but not endorsing that brand (actually, hoping my next housing isn't a Nauticam)!

New to the forum, beginner quality UW shooter, suck at PS beyond belief.  Beyond photography, diving, shooting, hunting, motorcycling, and Mountain Biking. Been creeping for a while, love the content and the expertise of the people here, way better than other places.

Hi there,

Iʻm Michael from Hawaii. I didnʻt have much time to take photos under water in the last years,  itʻs time for a change. Canʻt wait to get back out there with my AquaTech housing.

You can see some of my photography here: https://www.leecaptureshawaii.com/Prints/Island-Collection There are just a few under water photos at the moment. More to come.

Hi all,

I live in Greece, enjoy snorkeling (usually up to 5m) and underwater photography. I currently use an Olympus TG6 with an Olympus wide extender (FCON-T01) and usually photograph wide photography with my other half as the main subject. Here are some of my best so far:

I have been on wetpixel a few years, but never introduced myself so here it goes!

Jeff Norman, from Chicago.  I have been diving for about 25 years, and shooting underwater for about 20 of those years.  I only recently (last 7 years) started attending workshops and upgraded my setup to a DSLR (Nikon D7000 later upgraded to D500) about 5 years ago so I am still a relative newcomer to u/w photography, but have managed to get a few decent shots in the last few years since doing the workshops.  My current go to set up is Nikon D500, Nauticam housing, Inon Z330 strobes, and Inon LF3100 video light.  My lens of choice is the Nikon 105vr macro, and I also use the Tokina 10-17 (usually with the Nauticam compact port). I also have the Oly TG4 and TG6 with the PT-059 housing, and the Olympus M1, M5 and M10 systems with Nauticam housings  (but I no longer use any of these as the D500 is so much better, and not much larger).

I am a sidemount diver most of the time, and recently got my sidemount and solo diver certs.

My instagram is @jefferysnorman and I post my better shots there usually.  I welcome any and all feedback and constructive criticism!

Hello,

I live in South Florida and do a lot of muck diving at Blue Heron Bridge in Riviera Beach. Started on a GoPro and moved to a TG6 and now on a Olympus PEN E-PL 10. I shoot mainly macro with the M.Zuiko 60mm and Inon diopters.

Been reading forum topics for a while which has been really useful as I learn and progress with underwater photography.

Greetings all-

I've been a member of wetpixel since 2009 and just now getting around to an introduction it seems!  I started diving in the Puget Sound, Seattle, WA US and my wife bought me a compact underwater camera to start taking pictures to remember our trips.  We started our warm water diving love affair in Cozumel but then found the South Pacific and never looked back.  We worked toward a retirement plan that took us to Singapore as a temporary home base to facilitate finding where we would want to spend the rest of lives.  We found it in Dauin, Negros Oriental, Philippines.  We have lived here permanently for 3 years and loving every minute of it.  Coming out of the lock down we are finally able to visit more of the fantastic diving the Philippines have to offer.  My wife is now and underwater photography enthusiast and frankly a macro snob!

Look forward to being more active and learning or sharing information.

Cheers

Paul

Really nice story, Paul. Good for you guys - and welcome (back, sort of!) to Wetpixel.
