Hi,

I have been practicing photography and videography professionally for the last 7 years. I recently tried diving and one of the instructors had a camera with him. This opened my eyes to the possibilities of underwater videography and photography. One look at that footage and I was hooked. I look forward to learning more about underwater shooting and interacting with the community

Hello!

I'm Rick from Minneapolis, MN. I'm an avid diver, but also a bit of a baby, so I only really like to dive in warm water. This keeps me dry unless I'm traveling, because Minnesota is about as far from an ocean as you can get in the US. I've been diving for over 30 years, and have been to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, Raja Ampat, Lembeh, Hawaii, the Florida Keys, Playa Del Carmen, Fiji, Thailand, and Sri Lanka on wonderful dive trips. My wife and I are heading to Bonaire next week and I'm excited to try my new 5d MkIII in its Nauticam housing with Inon Z-240s. Glad to be here!

Thanks

Aloha! Just joined & am hoping to see if anyone has any particular recommendations for any different settings for an OMD-EM5 in a Nauticam housing when using a Magic filter instead of strobes (have been using the settings recommended by Coroander and Dr Alex Mustard but they don't address whether any changes should be made if using a Magic Filter & ambient light). Many mahalos!

Hello, I mostly take pictures in muddy lakes, but from time to time I visit some mines or caves with crystal clear water ;)

Hey I'm Morgan Bennett-Smith from Los Angeles, CA. I'm a senior marine science major at Occidental College; I've worked with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for the past two years. I'm interested in coral reef genomics and eDNA, and excited to start ramping up my underwater photography during breaks in the field work!

Hi, I'm Thomas from Maryland. Shoot with a Nikon D750. Still in the faze of choosing which housing and gear to get. I'll be spending my winter on the Palmyra Atoll, so I want to be sure I have the gear to take good photos while I'm there.

Hello everyone!

I've been diving for 5+ years, shooting pics for many more; just combined the two! I'm just putting together my dive kit, my camera is a Panasonic GX7 with the 7-14 WA lens and an Ikelite housing with 8" dome, and most likely the Sea & Sea Strobes. I'm hoping to have it all together for bull shark season in Playa del Carmen.

I've been diving in Thailand, The Philippines, Bali, Korea, Playa del Carmen, and Costa Rica. Looking forward to reading everyone else's experiences and learning from you all.

Frank

Long time lurker first time poster. I've been shooting with a canon PS in an Ikelite case and working on upgrading.

I'm stuck in the desert but I've made it to Thailand, Bali, Belize, Roatan and Monterey.
