ncheel044 0 Posted December 3, 2017 (edited) Hi, my name is Steve. I am an amateur photographer/videographer. Better now than when I started, but still learning as I go mostly through experimenting. Joined here to see if I can get some pointers. I shoot mainly with Canon products. Preferred subject is bigger animals such as sharks, turtles, rays, etc... Happy diving! Franco vr 0 Posted December 6, 2017 Hi, I'm Franco from Italy, I'm quite new as diver, but I'm keen in photography since a long time. Underwater photography is really difficult, but I'm sure that this forum can help me a lot. I currently use a Olympus tg-5 with housing and strobe. When I get better I'd like to move in a mirrorless system. Ciao/cheers

jcrifasi 0 Posted December 11, 2017 Greetings, My name is Jonathan Crifasi, I am from Baton Rouge, LA and have recently moved to South Florida. I have been here over two years now and one of the first things I did was get my OW certification along with a few advanced courses. Then I put a camera in my hand... just a GoPro 5 at first but I mastered that quickly and am now beginning my ventures with a more professional rig. I just got an Olympus E-M5 Mark II and some strobes and have some great plans once I master this camera in the underwater world. I love the website and look forward to learning from the experienced divers here!

BangkokBob 0 Posted December 21, 2017 Hi everybody - currently new to diving and want to take some snapshots of my diving. Advance land photographer - but getting into underwater. (surprised the housing cost more than the camera!!) Seems to be a very expensive hobby - especially if they change the camera design. At least with my DSLR; the lenses are good forever only the camera changes. With underwater you have a very 'married system' if one changes all has to change. Now in the Red Sea (Saudi) and live in Thailand.
