WTB: Subal Type4 (88 teeth) Zoom ring Nikkor 10-24mm

I'm looking for a Subal Type 4 ( so the 88 teeth one) zoom ring for the Nikkor 10-24mm DX lens if anyone has one they no longer need.

If you don’t already have the lens, I have both a 12-24mm Nikon DX lens and accompanying Subal 88 tooth gear for sale. It uses the same port combo as the 10-24mm Nikon DX.

It might not be what you want. I just thought I’d put it out there as an option

Thanks! I really appreciate the offer but I don't want to go the 12-24 route.

I don't know if the Subal gear for the 12-24 would work on the 10-24. I'll try and find out. Is there anyway you can give me the three measurements of the ring? The external diameter, the internal diameter and the depth of the ring? That would be really helpful.

To the best of  my knowledge, the gear fits both the 10-24 and 12-24 Nikkor lenses.

Correction to my above post re the zoom gears for the 10-24mm and 12-24mm Nikkor lenses: They have different SKU numbers, which indicates they are different.

I'm no expert on Subal zoom gears, but it looks like there are two different zoom gears that work with both the Nikkor 10-24mm and the Nikkor 12-24mm:

• SKU: #Z80N works with both the Nikkor 10-24mm and the 12-24mm
• SKU: #Z88N works with both the Nikkor 10-24mm and the 12-24mm

There may be some kind of difference, but Backscatter lists both of these zoom gears for both lenses. Again, I'm no expert so maybe you Subal guys can figure out what's going on with two different zoom gears working with both lenses. (LOL)

Many thanks indeed, Chris, Tinman and KdM. Really much appreciated. I'm talking to another WP member who has a treasure trove of Subal rings so with the info you've all sent, we should be able to work something out.  So a big thanks.

Yep, normally I would have bought one from Subal or the usual dealers. I've been in touch with 4 of them and no-one has one in stock and the various replies I've had indicated very long or vague delivery times.
