Ron Boyes 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Hi Guys, I have decided to upgrade to the D2X from a D100. I shall stick to the Subal Housing because of the ports etc that I already own. Do I understand correctly that the SB80DX is not compatable with the D2X and therefore I shall need the SB800? Can the SB800 fit and operate in the Subal SN80 housing or can the housing be modified to suit? thanks ron Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Viz'art 0 Posted January 13, 2005 The SB80dx give OK result with the D2H, even if Nikon does not recommend it for TTL work, but alas the SB800 is a much more consistent flash as regards to results, as far as the housing, the flashes are different in the layout of the control, so it depend on the design of the flash housing (i'm not familiar with this unit), my hunch is it will physically fit, but with limited access to the controls.
