Is there a chance to do some UW photo equipment shopping (like wa lens, second strobe, video light, ...) How are the prices compared to US and Europe ? ikan bilis 0 Posted September 3, 2002 you might be able to get the cameras but it is highly unlikely you will be able to find underwater photography equipment. as for prices, it could be slightly cheaper but based on the last time i was there, the prices of elctronic equipment seems to be more ex than what you will get if you go to the electronic stores in singapore. cmdasia 0 Posted September 10, 2002 Definitely not in the airport - downtown has two shops which carry some underwater stocks - the Sea and Sea dealer in the Adelphi Building (very nice shop and service) and another (cannot remember name) on the 2nd floor of the Scott Center on Scott Road. You can pick up OLY housings and the like for the small Sony all along Orchard rd but beware - they bargin and will rip you off at half the chance. Ikelite is dealt with by Pratanama and Oceanic but neither carry stocks of any kind. S/pore is very disappointing for U/W gear. Price? The states is cheaper, no question. Grig 0 Posted September 17, 2002 Guys.. you make me smile .. Sing is best place to buy UW gear even photo or even SCUBA .. all you need is to know where.. If you looking for photo camera the best place Sim Lim and it will be only 10% more expensive then USA, but of course cheapper then EU. UW housing better you check distributor of manufacturer and call them upon arrival.. could be something in stock.
