Mounting Sea&Sea Arms to Aquatica Housing

Recommended Posts

I have two sets of Sea&Sea Sea Arm VIs that I'd love to mount to my shiny new Aquatica A20 housing. I'd rather not have to buy new arms so I can spend the money on lenses or that pretty 8" dome port!

There are two sets of holes in the handles on this housing. The first set is pre-drilled with screw taps insterted, but the holes are too far apart to mount the standard Sea&Sea arm bracket. The second set is the perfect distance apart, but the holes are just holes and there is no way to secure the screws from the bracket into the handles. :)

So........ is there a solution to this problem? Can I mount the Sea Arms to the Aquatica housting with some other bracket/adapter? How difficult would it be to find screw taps to fit the screws and secure them into the empty holes in the handle?

Yes, you can. Check the ULCS (www.ulcs.com) catalog for the base adapters you need. They will probably be around $20 each.

The BA-TP fits a T-plate like you'd find on a Sea & Sea tray. I want/need something that will mount directly to the housing handles. Maybe the BA-AQW? Here's a close up of the housing handle that I want to mount to.

Thanks,

Ken

Yep, ULCS makes a ball with a mount that has two screws that go right into those holes. It's BA-somethingorother

Have a look around at www. ulcs.com
