PRC 2 Posted April 12, 2005 How does the 3/4" Loc-Line based arms react to a heavy strobe like the DS125 ? Do they hold position under water or just slowly flap about ? Paul C
herbko 0 Posted April 12, 2005 I've used 3/4" loc-line arms with the Inon strobes and had no problems with them underwater. They were a little floppy out of the water, but not too hard to deal with. The DS-125 may be ok in the water with little or no current, but I'd guess it would be hard to handle out of the water.
PRC 2 Posted April 12, 2005 Thanks for the input Herb, I expected them to a bit wobbly out of the water, in the water here we tend to have to contend with a lot of current ( tidal range is 36' ) - I can't remember a dive without current. I am suspicious that they will gradually move about as I try to frame a pic ! and I have enough trouble without that as it is... Thanks again. Paul C
pmooney 6 Posted April 12, 2005 The Line Loc arms on my video lights support the HID heads well in the water - but tend to be pushed back in a strong curren 2-3 knots . This is not to say they flopped arouind just pushed back by the water flow.
