pmooney 6 Posted April 24, 2005 I have had mixed success using Lexar 4 gig ( 80x ) cards in my D100. ( writing slow, buffer issues etc ). Wondering if this is likely to be the same in the D2X ?? Any suggestions ? Peter
Peter Schulz 1 Posted April 24, 2005 I use the Lexar 4 gig, 80x, pro card in my D2X and it seems to work fine although I haven't timed it. For other viewpoints you might ask at the Nikon D100/D1/D2 Forum. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1021
randapex 0 Posted April 24, 2005 Peter, I've been using that same card with no problems at all. Even in hi-speed crop mode, 8fps, no problem. Rand
james 0 Posted April 25, 2005 I don't think the D100 can take anything over 2 gigs. Cheers James

Just spent the last two weeks using a pair of 4GB Lexar cards in my D2X and they have performed flawlessly. M
Cp 29 Posted April 25, 2005 I don't think the D100 can take anything over 2 gigs. Hi James, No FUD about Nikon from you Canon guys! B) The D100 supports FAT32 so it is supposed to work with 4GB and over. The firmware upgrade (2.0) adds support to work with Lexar WA cards (although it is still slooooww compared to newer cameras....). Cp

pmooney 6 Posted April 25, 2005 Karl, Thanks - I'm like am expectant father. The camera left Japan yesterday and the housing and ports are due to ship from Backscatter tomorrow. All I have to do now is locate an English manual and I will be OK. Cheers Peter
t-bohn 0 Posted April 26, 2005 My D100 works with 4GB Kingston CF, but it takes much longer than with 1GB to get a view of the pics. Cheers Torben
Medusa 0 Posted August 4, 2005 I've just taken 59 images on a supposed good (replaced) Lexar 80x 4GB card. First one replaced by Lexar after loosing an entire day's shoot. I reviewed the images with my customers and they looked great, they were very pleased! When I loaded the card into the card reader and downloaded the pics...... yes you've guessed it, no pics taken today, just all the pics taken the previous day which I erased from the card before shooting. What is going on?. When you fork out the cash for a CANON 1DS MK II you expect quality. I now have to redo the shoot at my cost and have some very angry customers. Has anyone had the same problem? I have never had the 'lock up' problem people are talking about, just complete images disappearing. I wouldn't have minded if some pics had disappeared! but not all. Please help. Cheers, Ivan
