AengusM 0 Posted June 28, 2005 Did my first Red Sea trip at the start of June (out of Marsa Alam), few pics here and keen for feedback, http://www.aengusm.com/images/Red%20Sea%202005/ I just upgraded from a Coolpix 5000 to a Canon EOS 350D and an Ikelite housing, in fact only got the housing (Thanks Ike and Tom at Marine Camera Dist), the day before I left for Egypt. Used eTTL for both my DS-125's and happy with its performance. Simple for a non techo photog like me to use and gave accurate exposure. Also surprised at how easy the Eyepiece usage was, definitely feel I was getting improved composition using it over an LCD. Lens were Canon 10-22 and Sigma 50mm macro............the Dolphin shots are with the Sigma! Awesome lens. Had the 6 inch Ike dome for the 10-22 but will now get the 8 inch. I didn't want to start with the 8 inch, I was worried about scratching and damaging it, but edge softness with the 6 inch and the lens at 10mm, is quite apparent. Great to see the new Ikelite L piece for the sync cord, took me a few days to get it through to the deckhands not to put the camera down on the cord. Hope you enjoy the pics. Cheers, Aengus

wchen 1 Posted June 29, 2005 Nice job! I love the first lion fish and the closeup of the eel. I'm really impressed with your Canon 350 pics. Good choice. They look alot sharper than Canon 300 pics.
