Does he have an amber mask???

You know what? I have no idea. I just snapped the photo, the same way I'd take a picture of a shark that size. ;) Andy loves this photo and it going to use it on his web page -- if he ever gets around to fixing it up. :)

From the shape of the mask, and the yellow glow, it looks like he's got a Seavision mask on, one with the amber lense.

 

Just my guess though....

No, without sounding insulting - it's what professionals call the correct exposure... :blink:

 

Please note:

1. His face is the same colour inside & outside the mask

2. I am pretty sure replacement lenses are only available for twin lens jobbies B)

3. That's not hair it's a 'dive rug'

Here's a second shot -- a bit closer.  I think his cheeks are just red. :blink:

I think your white balance is biased towards red on these shots. The diffuser on the strobes should be white. The one closer to your camera looks a little pinkish-orange on my monitor.
