pmooney 6 Posted August 7, 2005 Was just wondering what strobes others were using with their new rigs. I have been trying some DS125 Ikelites out with some success until one stopped working dive 2 I guess I have get some of that first class customer service to fix my new broke strobe, I have also been trying the sea Sea 90DX as a main strobe - boy they are just the most reliable thing i have had for a long time, Been giving the YS350 for wide angle a go to but they tend to run out of sting/ battery so quickly Wondering what developments we can expect in strobes in the nexr few years. Any clues ?????????? java script:emoticon('') http://wetpixel.com/forums/style_images/litebar-ul/folder_post_icons/icon2.gifhttp://wetpixel.com/forums/style_images/litebar-ul/folder_post_icons/icon3.gifhttp://wetpixel.com/forums/style_images/litebar-ul/folder_post_icons/icon1.gif
Alex_Mustard 0 Posted August 7, 2005 Hi Peter, Personally I am not worried about TTL compatability - but as a Nikon user it would be nice to have strobes that are compatible with Nikon's CLS (Creative Lighting System). Imagine being able to take down an extra 3 remote groups of strobes and control their output centrally and wirelessly from your camera. But for now I use some old Subtronic Alphas. They are heavy and not 100% reliable. But they are very powerful, recycle time in non-existant and produce lovely warm light. Probably contribute more to my pix than any other piece of kit I use.
