fer_abella 0 Posted September 27, 2005 I have searched the forums about that question but nothing seems to exist. I believe the idea is bad as it will vignette or something worse, but i am unsure. I would like somebody more expert to help me about the correct reasoning or experience. Thank you in advance. It is because i can borrow a Sea-Sea 16mm wide angle adaptor for nikonos from a friend and i do not know if it could be a thing to test.
mattdiver 0 Posted September 27, 2005 Actually, James wrote a review on this a while back. This was using Inon mounts, though. Check out: http://wetpixel.com/i.php/full/inon-access...p-dc40-housing/ If you find that you get vignetting with this setup, you can always use the Photoshop Heal tool to correct this on keepers... Cheers, Mat
Jolly 3 Posted September 27, 2005 fer_abella, beside optical match, do you have an idea how to mount the Sea&Sea conversion lens onto the housing? If the 16mm doesn't work / vignet, how about the 20mm, should be cheap on ebay. Julian
UWPhotoTech 0 Posted September 27, 2005 The S&S 16mm or 20mm can be used with the WP-DC 40. You'll need the S&S DC300 Conversion ring which must be machined to fit the DC 40 Housing. You'll also need to zoom out beyond the 35mm zoom postion in order to avoid the vignetting effect. We can supply and machine the conversion ring for you if you're interested. What about the 5.6 aperture??

If performance were similar to a uwl-100, perhaps i could go that way.
