Live Reports: Wetpixel Macro Workshop 2016

This event has been eagerly anticipated after the amazing success of the first one in 2013. Join Wetpixel for the 2017 Sailfish Safari! We will be in Isla Mujeres from 16 to 22 February 2017, snorkeling, photographing and filming these amazing charismatic animals and the stunning baitball action that results when they hunt the sardines (Sardinella aurita) that are in the waters surrounding the island during the winter.
Late Availability: Wetpixel/Mustard Lembeh Macro workshop
Owing to a late cancellation, we have one single space on the Alex Mustard/Wetpixel Lembeh Macro Workshop. The dates for the workshop on which the space is available are 7 to 14 October and we are based at Lembeh Resort. These spaces originally sold out in 24 hours back in March 2015, so it is a real opportunity for someone to jump on at the last minute!
Live updates: Wetpixel Bahama Shark Expedition
Wetpixel is currently in the Bahamas diving with greater hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna mokarran) and tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) with Epic Diving’s. Internet connection depending (!) we will be adding updates here as the trip progresses. The Bahamas is unique in having an amazing resident population of big sharks!
Late availability: Bahamas tigers, hammerheads and dolphins
We have a very few spaces available on our 2016 Bahamas shark trips. We will be diving with hammerheads and dolphins in Bimini from 4 to 9 March and then tiger, lemon and Caribbean reef sharks at Tiger Beach from 9-14 March. These venues provide the most amazing photographic opportunities and an underwater experience that you will never forget!
Join Wetpixel in Socorro in 2016
Mexico’s Revillagigedo Islands are well known for a profusion of pelagic life. Bait balls, hammerhead, whale and silky sharks as well as the possibility of pilot whales make for his adrenaline diving that is also amazingly photographically productive. Join Wetpixel and trip leader Jason Bradley from 8 to 10 June 2016 aboard the Nautilus Belle Amie to dive and capture the amazing scenes.
Wetpixel Whale Sharks 2016
We will be running two trips to Isla Mujeres for the amazing whale shark (Rhincodon typus) in 2016. The dates are 01 to 07 and 07 to 13 August. As always, our trips are renown for offering photographic opportunities that other operators cannot. We specialize in maximizing time with the sharks when the large numbers of other boats are not around. The aggregation itself is an amazing event with hundreds of these amazing animals gathering in tight groups.
Join Wetpixel in California’s Channel Islands
Join Wetpixel to dive and photograph the Southern Channel Islands, California. Trip leader Jason Bradley is organizing a workshop trip to San Clemente and the oil rigs from 14 to 17 November. Embarkation onto the liveaboard Conception will take place at Santa Barbara on the evening of 13 November. The workshop will focus on Fine Art printing, as well as diving and photographing the creatures and scenery of the Channel Islands.
Live reports: Wetpixel Whale Sharks 2015
The 2015 series of Wetpixel Whale sharks trips are starting tomorrow, with folks gathering from around the world to snorkel with and film or photograph the large numbers of whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) that gather off Isla Mujeres, Mexico. We will be reporting “live” from Isla Mujeres over the next three weeks, hopefully bringing a flavor of this amazing trip to those of you that can’t be here.
