Apple updates Final Cut Pro X

Article Summary:

Apple has released an update for its Final Cut Pro X video editing software. Version 10.0.1 has introduced some of the features that many users felt were missing from the original release. Key amongst these is support for rich XML, allowing for round tripping into other applications, support for projects by multiple users via Xsan and custom starting timecode. In addition, the update will add GPU accelerated exports, full screen view in OSX Lion and media stems support. Future versions will also incorporate multicam editing and broadcast quality video monitoring.

The update is available via the App store. Apple has also introduced a free 30 day trial of the program and a white paper (pdf) entitled “Final Cut Pro X for Final Cut Pro 7 Editors”.
