June 27, 2006, San Francisco, California - The Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) next July 14 will host a seminar with award-winning underwater photographers and NCUPS members, Brad and Susan Brown of MontereyDiving.com.  Brad and Susan have won many First Place Awards in international photography contests including the Malaysian Underwater Photo Festival, the Asian Diver Shootout, the Monterey Shootout and the Monterey Beach Dive Photo Competition and have had their above and below water shots published in Sunset, Skin Diver and Asian Diver Magazines.  Avid underwater photographers and videographers, they have extensively traveled the world to exotic destinations including Honduras, Malaysia, Indonesia, Fiji, Hawaii, Mexico, and countless California coastal destinations in order to hone their craft.

In 2005, Brad switched from film to digital and Susan recently upgraded to high-definition digital video.  Brad and Susan’s presentation will feature spectacular photos from their portfolio and offer a wide range of valuable tips, tricks and other nuts-and bolts techniques, including upgrading equipment technologies, from which all underwater photographers and videographers will benefit.  Selected photos and short videos may be seen at MontereyDiving.com

Brad and Susan Brown’s MontereyDiving.com underwater photography seminar will take place on Friday, July 14, 2006, at 8:00 p.m.  Location: New Vision United Methodist Church, 450 Chadbourne Avenue, Millbrae, CA 94030 - located only ten minutes south of the San Francisco International Airport.  Cost for first-time visitors is FREE. 

On the second Friday of every month, The Northern California Underwater Photographic Society, the oldest and most prestigious underwater photography club in the United States, possibly the world, features guest experts who speak on a variety of subjects concerning diving and photography, often accompanied by a digital, slide or multi-image presentation.  The Northern California Underwater Photographic Society promotes conservationism and environmental protection through the membership’s shared passion in underwater photography and videography.  NCUPS has been active since 1965, sponsoring educational events on both underwater photography and video while promoting awareness of the underwater environment and pertinent ecological issues.
