Wetpixel and DivePhoto Guide are proud to announce the stunning winners of the 2020 DEEP Indonesia International Underwater Photography Competition. The images were of a very high standard, and our judging panel, Ellen Cuylaerts, Mike Bartick, Kate Jonker, Tobias Friedrich, Renee Capozolla, and Andrew Marriot, had a tough time choosing their selections. The Overall Winner and winner of the Compact Camera category was Enrico Somogyi with his capture of a jellyfish in Snell’s Window entitled “Around the World.” Huge congratulations to him and all the finalists.

When talking about Enrico’s image, the judges commented:

Kate Jonker: “Great composition and incredible clarity. It’s a jellyfish in outer space. Gorgeous shot!.”
Ellen Cuylaerts: “A beautiful surreal approach of a common subject! Looks like a space scene, it catches my eye and makes me dream!.”
Mike Bartick: “Looks like planet earth with the jellyfish satellite. Well executed image..”
