Three men charged over shark abuse
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office have charged three men in connection with the “shark dragging” video that surfaced on social media in July. Michael Wenzel, 25; Robert Lee Benac, 28; and Spencer Heintz, 23, were all charged with two felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty with Wenzel and Benac also charged with one count each of illegal method of take.
