It’s not everyday a photographer is hired to photograph a model in a pool with an elephant. So, when the owner of the largest privately owned pool in Asia hired Justin Mott to do just that, he jumped at the opportunity.

Unlike most underwater pool shoots, there was very limited time in the water (with the elephant) and Mott needed to get as many shots as he could in as little time as he could. After braving an elephant-pooped-in-pool and his camera surviving a small leak, he got one shot that would go on to win the One Shot category of the 2013 Travel Photographer of the Year.
