Wow, no kidding, great photos! Technically and artistically superb

I'm really impressed with the results from the CMC on that 14-42 lens. Your results on the porcelain crab and ornate ghost pipefish are sharper than I get with the 60mm macro with a Subsee +5. Guess I may have to test one . . .

How do you like the 10 bar Laser Snoot? I have the snoot kit from Inon (that I have yet to use) but that 10 bar looks like a much better option because you have something to assist with the aim.

I like it a lot. There was a question mark over how animals would react to the laser but I offset it by a few mm from the critter to prevent any issue.

Great photos. The last one from the initial post is my favorite (but it is hard to choose).

Alex, thanks for showing these nice photo's. I have not been able to find a lot photo's taken with the 14-42mm EZ and the CMC lens. These are really convincing.

Looking at your flickr album I noticed that the first photo of your post was taken with a CMC-2 lens. Is this correct? If so, how does that lens compare to the CMC-1?

Thanks for your reply. I will wait for the additional information before buying one of the CMC lenses.

In your opinion, which is better suited to use with the 14-42mm EZ lens and a E-PL7?

Just asking. I am currently using E-PL6 with 60mm macro lens with INON UCL-165 stacked with Subsee.

But in order for me to capture really small subject, I have to get really close to the subject and there are 2 problems.

- It scares the subject away.

- It is very difficult to get the light onto the subject.

Just wondering what would be the CMC and SMC working distance working with the 14-42mm.

So far, this is the closest I could get with light still able to access.
